The gift cards are nice (10% extra), but the special awards are even more rewarding. I used a National Rental car certificate and got 50% off! Instead of paying $40, I “paid” $20 in rewards bucks. Added to that, my frequent rental status allowed me to upgrade to a nice Volvo S60. $20 for a Volvo S60 rental? Fantastic. Even better was that everything was handled via the Internet.
I’m going to regularly scour the Rewards site for more deals. I sense the $40 for a $100 Hyatt room in my future …
